Four-Star Point Guard Josh Hubbard Commits to Ole Miss

By JACOB POLACHECK

Class of 2023 four-star guard Josh Hubbard has committed to Ole Miss, he tells ZAGSBLOG.

“Ole Miss is a great program with some new coaches on the staff,” Hubbard said by text. “Coach (Kermit) Davis not only has great future plans for me, but the team as well.”

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound point guard from Madison-Ridgeland (MS) Academy, chose Ole Miss over in-state rival Mississippi State.

“I think I am a tough, fast player that loves to play both ends of the court as a team to lead to a victory,” he said.

Ranked by the On3 Consensus as the No. 19 point guard and the No. 106 overall prospect in the class of 2023, Hubbard joins an Ole Miss recruiting class that features four-star power forward Rashaud Marshall, three-star small forward Jordan Burks and unranked small forward Jacob Gazzo.

“This class will be special,” Hubbard said. “We all know each other off social media, so it’ll be fun once we all get there together.”
