Class of 2024 four-star Somto Cyril signs scholarschip with OTE; retains college eligibility

By CHARLIE PARENT

Somto Cyril, the four-star big-man in the class of 2024, has signed a scholarship with the Overtime Elite League, which allows him to retain college eligibility.

A 6-foot-11 Nigerian native, Cyril has been nicknamed “Baby Shaq” and holds collegiate offers from Florida, Cincinnati, Kansas, Tennessee, and Memphis, among others.

“I feel like this is the route for me to take to help me prepare for the league,” Cyril told Joe Tipton of On3 Sports. “Overtime has everything for me to get better and help me get ready for the next level. I’m betting on myself. I want to prove that this is the right decision.
