Class of 2023 shooting guard Parker Friedrichsen breaks down final 5 schools

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Parker Friedrichsen, the 6-foot-4, 4-star shooting guard from Bixby, Oklahoma, is down to a final five of Nebraska, Davidson, Rice, Northwestern and Notre Dame.

He has no commitment date yet but has visits set for all five. He visits Notre Dame (Aug. 26), Davidson (Aug. 30), Rice (Sept. 2), Nebraska (Sept. 9) and Northwestern (Sept. 16).

He broke down all five for ZAGSBLOG:

Nebraska: “They know I have family in the state so its more of a ‘come home’ message. Coach [Fred Hoiberg] runs a pro style offense and thinks I would do well in that.

Davidson: “Their pitch to me is a chance to have that opportunity early and follow in Steph [Curry]’s footsteps.

Northwestern: “The whole staff played the guard spot so they say they can help me in the PG spot while also getting good minutes as a freshman.”

Rice: “[Coach Scott] Pera wants me to be the guy that leads them to the tourney. He believes in me to come in early and do big things.”

Notre Dame: “They have four guys leaving when I come in so they said minutes are looking at me if I earn it and a chance to play a very good schedule in a great league.”
