Adrame Diongue, the four-star 7-footer from Arizona Compass Prep, has committed to Washington State.
Ranked the No. 14 center in the Class of 2022 per the 247Sports.com Composite, he also considered UNLV, Kansas and Texas Tech, he told On3.com
“I decided to commit to Washington State because they have a great program and know how to develop players like myself,” Diongue said to On3. “The offensive style they play along with their tough defense makes me feel I could really fit in and help the team. They’ve also been recruiting me for over a year now. The coaching staff and head coach (Kyle) Smith have been tremendous from the start.”
In describing his game, he told On3: “I run the floor well, grab rebounds and block everything. I’m reading the game better now and showing more on offense. I watch Kevin Garnett, the way he tries to dunk the ball every time he touches it; I’m trying to do that…I grew up playing soccer. Soccer helped me with being able to get up and down the floor and with my quickness and defense.”
He joins point guard Dylan Darling and fellow big man Solomon Ominu in Washington State’s 2022 class.
