West Virginia lands Iowa transfer Joe Toussaint

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Iowa transfer Joe Toussaint has committed to West Virginia following his weekend official visit.

The 6-foot point guard from The Bronx averaged 4.3 points and 3.2 assists as a junior at Iowa.

“It’s very family oriented and they just care about player growth after basketball and on the court,” he said. “

Toussaint initially committed to Iowa in 2018 over Dayton, UNLV, and Wichita State.

“Joe has a tremendous work ethic and is a true leader,” Cardinal Hayes coach Joe Lods said Monday. “He will help the Mountaineers with his defensive tenacity and his unselfishness. I look forward to watching him flourish under Coach [Bob] Huggins.”
