Shareef O’Neal enters Transfer Portal

By CHARLIE PARENT

LSU forward Shareef O’Neal, and son of Hall-of-Famer Shaquille O’Neal, announced Monday he will be entering the Transfer Portal.

O’Neal marks yet another LSU player to leave the program as a result of head coach Will Wade’s firing.

This also marks the second time in which O’Neal will transfer, after leaving UCLA in 2020 due to a heart defect.

The 6-foot-10 junior has averaged 2.6 points per game across his collegiate career on 40.5% shooting and 3.0 rebounds per game.

O’Neal has yet to name a list of possible teams for next season.
