Led by 22 points from sophomore star Jaden Ivey, No. 3 seed Purdue took care of business against No. 14 Yale, 78-56, in Milwaukee.
In the 22-point blowout, the real success for the Boilermakers was their defense. After giving up 68.8 points per game to its opponents, Purdue only allowed the Bulldogs 56.
Purdue will need another stout defensive performance on Sunday when it faces the winner of No. 6 Texas vs. No. 11 Virginia Tech in the second round.
