Four-star Kamari Lands down to 2 schools, sets decision date

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Kamari Lands, the 6-foot-8 four-star small forward from Hillcrest Prep (AZ), is down to two schools and will be announcing his college decision on Jan. 1, per Joseph Tipton of On3Sports.

Lands, who decommitted from Syracuse in August, is down to Arizona State and Louisville, Hillcrest Prep (AZ) coach Nick Weaver confirmed. He is expected to visit Arizona State again Dec. 17-19 after previously seeing the campus on several occasions. He took an official to Louisville already earlier in November.

Lands transferred to Hillcrest Prep (AZ) over the summer after previously playing at national powers Prolific Prep (CA) and La Lumiere (IN).

“Kamari has HUGE upside,” said Nick Weaver. “He’s a legit 6’8 with a 6’11 1/2 wingspan. He can really shot the 3 and also is an outstanding rebounder. In our up tempo offense Kamari Lands will thrive! He just hasn’t been in the right system the past few years. He has all the tools to be a very good NBA player.”
