Four-star guard Stephon Castle set to announce Friday

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Stephon Castle, the 6-foot-6 Class of 2023 combo guard from Covington (GA) Newton, has cut his list to six schools and will announce Friday at 5 p.m, as first reported by On3.com.

Ranked the No. 4 shooting guard per 247Spors.com, he is now considering Arkansas, Auburn, Connecticut, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Ohio State.

“I really like the level of coaching I would be receiving at all of the schools,” Castle told 247Sports.com. “That is really the main thing I will be looking at when I am picking a school.”

He visited UConn recently and is a priority target for coach Dan Hurley’s staff.

“My official visit went really well,” he said. “I like the coaching staff and I could tell my parents did too. It is close to my second home in New York where my family is so I really like that too.”
