Greenhill (TX) High School small forward Micah Robinson is a name to know in the class of 2024 as college programs begin their pursuit.
With offers from Texas Tech and SMU, Robinson is already getting started on the recruiting process, navigating the landscape with his parents by his side.
“They have been so supportive of me through everything. They’ve gone with everything that I wanted to do,” Robinson said. “They’ve listened to everything I’ve wanted to do decision-wise, on teams. They’ve helped me through the recruiting process so far. They’ve just given me really good advice so far because both of them played all through high school.”
Robinson has taken visits to both schools as he looks to find the best fit for himself.
“That’s what it’s all about when people pick the school they’re going to attend,” he said. “Mainly, finding a coach or a school/program that believes in what I can do, truly values what I can do and actually believes in what I can bring to the table to help the team win.”
Ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 26 overall prospect in the class of 2024, Robinson is looking to show off his shooting ability this season.
“I’ve been known to be a drive-first type of player, but this year I’m looking to expand my game and make people respect me as a shooter,” he said. “Also, my ability to handle the ball through pressure, basically playing as a guard. That’s what I’m developing into.”
