Class of 2022 four-star forward Bobi Klintman has committed to Maryland, he announced Wednesday.
The 6-foot-9, 200-pound small forward from Sunrise (KS) Christian Academy, chose Maryland over Rutgers, Kansas, Texas A&M, Loyola-Chicago and Virginia.
“Bobi has an outstanding skill set at 6-foot-9 with the ability to shoot from deep and make plays for others,” Sunrise Christian head coach Luke Barnwell said. “We saw a natural fit with the versatility of how coach (Mark) Turgeon plays his wings. Bobi is a great fit.”
Klintman took his first official visit to Maryland from Sept. 17-19 before also taking official trips to Rutgers and Loyola-Chicago.
Originally from Kinna, Sweden, Klintman moved to the United States in April to join a Sunrise Christian team that features class of 2022 five-star forward Mark Mitchell, four-star Kansas commit Gradey Dick and four-star Florida State commit Cameron Corhen, as well as class of 2023 four-star guard Layden Blocker and three-star forward Scotty Middleton.
Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 30 small forward and No. 111 overall prospect in the nation, Klintman is the first commit in the Terrapins’ 2022 recruiting class.
