Class of 2022 four-star forward Chauncey Wiggins has committed to Clemson, he tells ZAGSBLOG Friday.
“The culture, playing style and who I’m playing with (were the deciding factors),” Wiggins said.
Wiggins, the 6-foot-9, 190-pound power forward from Grayson (GA) and the Team Curry AAU Program, chose Clemson over Georgia, USF, Maryland and NC State.
“Development stood out the most,” he said. “The way they developed Aamir Simms and other players, I really like it.”
Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 29 power forward and No. 149 overall prospect in the nation, Wiggins is the first commit in Clemson’s 2022 recruiting class.
He is looking to recruit Ven-Allen Lubin, who took his official visit to Clemson from Oct. 1-3.
“I’m just trying to get him to commit,” Wiggins said. “I played against him before. He is a very good player very high and a good skillset.”
