Class of ’22 forward Isaac Traudt commits to Virginia

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Class of 2022 four-star forward Isaac Traudt has committed to Virginia after visiting the ACC school in mid-June, as first reported by On3Recruits.

“Definitely my relationship with the staff and incoming guys that are in the same class with me,” Traudt told ZAGSBLOG by text. “I also think I’m a good fit with their system and culture.”

Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 9 power forward and No. 54 overall prospect in the Class of 2022, he also considered North Carolina, Michigan State and Creighton, among others.

Traudt, the 6-foot-9, 205-pound power forward from Grand Island (NE) Senior School, was joined on his Virginia visit by 2022 Virginia commit Isaac McKneely.

Traudt says the Virginia staff has likened him to former UVA forward Sam Hauser.

“Just the position he played,” Traudt said. “I’m a hard-working forward that will do what it takes to win and contribute to the team’s success.”
