By RYAN McMULLEN & ADAM ZAGORIA

Elijah Saunders listed his final five schools after a huge summer playing for the Compton Magic.

The 6-foot-8 Class of 2022 power forward from Phoenix (AZ) Sunnyslope is down to Miami, Notre Dame, San Diego State, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech. He cut Boston College, New Mexico, St. John’s, UNLV, among others.

He visits San Diego State this weekend (Aug. 27-29) followed by Notre Dame (Sept. 3-5), Miami (Sept. 10-12), Virginia Tech (Sept. 17-19) and South Carolina (Sept. 24-26).

Saunders is known for his ability to score in the paint while also being able to knock down perimeter jumpers.

“He’s 6-8 with a big time stroke,” said Compton Magic director Etop Udo-Ema. “he’s a very under-appreciated athlete with big bounce. He has a great body and great frame.”
