Class of ’22 shooting guard Cason Wallace down to 3 schools, planning visits

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Cason Wallace, the 6-foot-4 combo guard from Richardson (TX) and ProSkills Elite, is down to three schools and plans to visit all three in the coming weeks, according to on3.com.

Wallace will visit Kentucky (Aug. 26), Texas (Sept. 4) and Tennessee (Sept. 17). He averaged 14.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals while helping to lead ProSkills to a 12-1 record last month at Peach Jam.

Kentucky has one commit for 2022 in point guard Skyy Clark and remains in the mix for Wallace, Nick Smith Jr., Shaedon Sharpe and Chris Livingston, among others, in the backcourt and Dereck Lively II and Adem Bona up front. The 6-10 Bona reportedly just picked up a Kentucky offer recently and is close to putting out a final list.

“They like that they already have a guard committed [in Clark] and I’m another guard that can come in and contribute,” Wallace told KSR. “We would play good together.”

Texas has shooting guard Arterio Morris committed for 2022 and recently missed out when Morris’ high school teammate Keyonte George, the No. 1 shooting guard in 2022, pledged to Baylor over Texas and others.

Tennessee has point guard B.J. Edwards committed for 2022.

“I want to go somewhere I can play early, often, and through mistakes, really,” Wallace told KSR.
