Arizona lands Eastern Washington transfer Kim Aiken Jr.

By JACOB POLACHECK

For the second time this offseason, Eastern Washington transfer Kim Aiken Jr. has committed to Arizona, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello reported Monday.

Aiken, the 6-foot-7, 215-pound small forward out of Redlands, CA, originally committed to Arizona in the spring before reopening his recruitment following the firing of head coach Sean Miller.

Aiken then committed to Washington State on April 21 before reopening his recruitment on July 29 after being denied admittance to graduate school.

The first-team All-Big Sky guard/forward was named 2020-21 Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 11.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 block per game in 24 games played.

Aiken will be immediately eligible for the 2021-22 season with two years of eligibility remaining.

He joins an Arizona front court group that features Azuolas Tubelis, Christian Koloko and Oumar Ballo.
