Rutgers lands three-star forward Braeden Moore

By JACOB POLACHECK

Class of 2022 three-star forward Braeden Moore has committed to Rutgers, he tells ZAGSBLOG.

“The coaching staff (was a deciding factor),” Moore told ZAGSBLOG by text. “And God opening doors for me and making it clear for me and my family.”

The 6-foot-8, 210-pound power forward from Christ Presbyterian (TN) Academy and the Next Page Force AAU Program, took his official visit to Rutgers on June 29.

“The people and resources they have are phenomenal,” he said. “I think I can play early on and I just couldn’t find many negative things about Rutgers.”

He chose Rutgers over offers from Nebraska, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Auburn, Georgetown, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Houston, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Cincinnati, St. John’s and Memphis, among others.

With his recruitment over, Moore hopes do some recruiting of his own.

“Definitely Ben Sholtzberg,” he said. “I’m not sure who else we need and specifically who the staff wants.”

Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 58 power forward in the nation, Moore is the first commit in Rutgers’ 2022 recruiting class.
