N.J. guards Otega Oweh, Corey Floyd Jr. help lead Team Final to prestigious Peach Jam championship

By ADAM ZAGORIA

New Jersey guards Corey Floyd Jr. of Roselle Catholic and Otega Oweh of Blair Academy helped lead Team Final to the prestigious Peach Jam 17U championship on Sunday.

The duo combined for 29 points, nine rebounds and six assists as the Philadelphia-based team capped a two-week stay at the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League event by knocking off Brad Beal Elite of St. Louis, 64-61, in Sunday’s championship game at the Riverview Park Activities Center in North Augusta, S.C. It was the first Peach Jam title for Team Final and director Rob Brown and associate director and head coach Aaron Burt.

“It’s great to see Otega Oweh play so well on a big stage and show the basketball world how much he has improved through his own hard work the last 18 months,” said Blair coach Joe Mantegna, who watched the game on ESPN2.
