BLAIRSTOWN, N.J. — Scotty Middleton, the 6-foot-7, 175-pound Class of 2023 guard from The Patrick School and the NY Rens, added offers from UConn and Pittsburgh after playing this past weekend at Blair Academy.
Pitt head coach Jeff Capel and UConn assistant Kimani Young saw Middleton play with the Celtics. He previously had offers from Penn State, La Salle and Bryant.
“Scotty is a hard-working, attacking guard on both sides of the ball,” NY Rens coach Andy Borman said. “He can play and guard multiple perimeter positions and players. He thrives in transition, but also has a consistent jump shot from 3-point range. He is a high0-upside player with his best basketball in front of him.”
Middleton said he wants to continue grow and develop as a player.
“I want to be able to lead a team, get guys going when I’m down. I want to work on my 3 more, my layups, my athleticism, everything.”
