Purdue lands 2022 four-star Camden Heide

By RYAN McMULLEN

Camden Heide, the 6-foot-5 wing from Wayzata (MN) and D1 Minnesota AAU, committed to Purdue on Tuesday.

Heide chose the Boilermakers over Arizona, Minnesota, among others.

He is coming off an official visit to Purdue on June 11-13th.

Jerry Meyer of 247Sports evaluated Heide during this past high school season.

“A quality shooter off catch or dribble,” said Meyer.”Can make one shots off either foot in the mid-range when attacking. Also has post up game. Has strength but limited lateral quickness. More of a straight ahead athlete who jumps best off one foot when attacking the rim. Uses his body well on offense. Can finish with either hand. Has room to improve motor as a defender and rebounder.”

According to 247Sports, Heide is ranked as the No. 65 player in the nation and is the No. 1 player from Minnesota.

Heide will team up with four-star Fletcher Loyer and Braeden Smith for Purdue’s 2022 class.
