DePaul picks up commitment from Oregon transfer Jalen Terry

DePaul has a landed a commitment from Oregon transfer guard Jalen Terry, he announced Friday, via Twitter.

Terry, a 5-foot-11, 165-pound point guard out of Flint, M.I., averaged 2.9 points, 1.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.5 steals per game as a freshman during the 2020-21 season.

He appeared in 20 games and averaged 11.6 minutes per game.

Terry will reunite with former Oregon assistant Tony Stubblefield, who was hired to serve as DePaul’s head coach earlier this month.

Coming out of Beecher (MI) High School, Terry was ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 16 point guard and No. 84 ovreall prospect in the Class of 2020.

Terry joins four-star guard Ahamad Bynum, three-star forward Kok Yat and combo guard Brett Hart Jr. as DePaul’s fourth newcomer for the 2021-22 season.
