Texas Tech transfer Mac McClung hearing from Kentucky, Gonzaga, Texas, among others

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Texas Tech transfer Mac McClung is hearing from some heavyweights after entering the Transfer Portal.

McClung told ZAGSBLOG he’s heard from Kentucky, Gonzaga, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Memphis, N.C. State and Boston College.

The 6-foot-2 junior from Virginia averaged 15.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists this past season after transferring from Georgetown and obtaining a waiver to play immediately.

He tested the NBA Draft waters a year ago after leaving Georgetown but elected to join Chris Beard’s team at Texas Tech. Now with Beard leaving for Texas, McClung is the latest Red Raider to depart.

He is also testing the NBA Draft waters.
