Class of 2021 five-star guard Trevor Keels has committed to Duke, he announced Friday.
“I will be attending Duke University,” Keels said in an interview with ESPN.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound shooting guard from Paul VI Catholic (VA) High School, chose Duke over Kentucky, Villanova and Virginia.
“Me and Coach K have a great relationship,” Keels said. “He was always the same during the process. Straightforward guy. He told me what I needed to hear.”
Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 2 shooting guard and No. 16 overall prospect in the Class of 2021, Keels joins five-star forwards Paolo Banchero and A.J. Griffin in the Blue Devils’ 2021 recruiting class.
Duke has lost three players to the transfer portal since the season ended, including senior guard Jordan Goldwire and freshman forward Jaemyn Brakefield.
