Providence lands Indiana grad transfer Al Durham

By JACOB POLACHECK

Indiana grad transfer Aljami Durham has committed to Providence, he announced Tuesday via Twitter.

“First, Thank you Hoosier nation for 4 years full of lessons and growth that I will take on my next journey,” Durham said in a statement released via Twitter. “With that being said, I will be using my 5th year of eligibility and I will be a grad transfer at Providence College.”

Durham, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard out of Lilburn, GA, averaged 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 38.8 percent shooting during the 2020-21 season. He appeared in 31 games for the Hoosiers, starting in nine.

He is a two-time captain at Indiana and started in 97 of 123 games he played with the Hoosiers.

Durham is Providence’s second commit this week after landing 2022 guard Jayden Epps on Monday.
