ECU’s Noah Farrakhan to transfer, talks future

By RYAN McMULLEN

East Carolina freshman point guard Noah Farrakhan announced he will transfer on Thursday evening.

The 6-foot-2 Farrakhan averaged 3.0 points and 1.0 assists in 12 games played.

The former five-star was highly recruited in high school and chose ECU over DePaul, Boston College, Penn State and New Mexico out of The Patrick School (N.J.) last April.

“I’m looking for an opportunity nonetheless!” Farrakhan told ZAGSBLOG. “Looking for a winning program or a school building towards that direction. I want a great organization overall from the staff all the way down to the players and a great support system life after college.”

Farrakhan also said that he is looking for an “up-tempo, fast paced offense where I can run in transition.”
