North Carolina vs. Kentucky, UCLA vs. Ohio State set as new CBS Sports Classic matchups

By JACOB POLACHECK

Due to COVID-19 testing protocols, matchups for Saturday’s CBS Sports Classic featuring North Carolina, UCLA, Kentucky and Ohio State have been flipped.

North Carolina will face Kentucky at 2 p.m. ET, followed by UCLA and Ohio State at approximately 4:15 p.m. ET with both games taking place at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and airing on CBS, event organizers announced Wednesday.

The revised schedule was created to more closely align COVID-19 testing protocols between the competing programs and their respective conferences, per the release.

Saturday’s matchup will mark the third matchup between Kentucky and North Carolina in the CBS Sports Classic with Kentucky winning both of the previous two matchups.

North Carolina leads the four schools with a 4-2 record. Kentucky and Ohio State are each 3-3 and UCLA is 2-4 in the event.
