Tyty Washington, the 6-foot-3 point guard from Compass Prep (AZ), committed to Creighton on Sunday.
Ranked the No. 13 point guard in the 247Sports.com Composite for 2021, he also considered Illinois.
“I choose them cause I felt like the style of play fits me best and coach Mac [Greg McDermott] and I have a really strong relationship,” Washington told ZAGSBLOG. “He’s been telling me what’s expected of me from day 1. Lastly the fans there are great. Everything coach sent me about the fans was great; they bring a lot of energy every night.”
Washington told 247 he’s been working on his body during the pandemic.
“The key for me is the offseason,” he said. “I started working out with my trainer Chad down at his place called Move where we focused on just getting stronger and bigger. Also when everything was shut down I was still able to have access to a gym so me and my uncle were in there four times a week.”
He joins point guard Ryan Nembhard and shooting guard John Christofilis in Creighton’s 2021 class.
