The Big East/Big 12 schedule is set and will soon be officially announced:
Nov. 29: Baylor/Seton Hall 11/29
Dec. 1: Oklahoma State/Marquette
Dec. 3: Texas Tech/St. John’s
Dec. 6: West Virginia/Georgetown
Texas/Villanova
Iowa State/DePaul
Dec. 8: Kansas/Creighton
Dec. 9: Oklahoma/Xavier
TCU/Providence
Dec. 11: Kansas State/Butler
UConn, which re-joined the Big East this year, is not competing this year.
This year’s matchups will showcase several of the nation’s top freshmen, including Oklahoma State point guard Cade Cunningham, the No. 1 prospect in 2020 per 247Sports.com, Texas freshman forward Greg Brown, ranked No. 9 and Kansas freshman guard Bryce Thompson, ranked No. 21.
The Big East went 8-2 against the Big 12 a year ago, highlighted by Villanova knocking off then-No. 1 Kansas, 56-55, in the final seconds.
Providence then hammered Texas, 70-48, and Xavier finished up by taking care of TCU.
The conference won each game by an average of nearly eight points.
