Champions Classic set for Dec. 1; Dayton replaces Duke in South Dakota event

By ADAM ZAGORIA

As the non-conference schedule continues to unfold, several major tournament dates and fields are coming into focus.

The Champions Classic will now take place Dec. 1 in Orlando instead of Nov. 10 in Chicago as originally planned, sources confirmed.

The event will feature Duke vs. Michigan State and Kentucky vs. Kansas.

Meantime, Dayton will replace Duke in the South Dakota event at the Sanford Pentagon that replaces the Battle 4 Atlantis, as reported by Jon Rothstein. Teams will play three games in three days Nov. 25-27.

The field now includes Dayton, West Virginia, Ohio State, Creighton, Memphis, Utah, Wichita State and Texas A&M.
