Jusaun Holt, the 6-foot-6, 190-pound small forward from St. Francis Day School (GA), made the call on Sunday.
“I will be taking my talents to The University of Alabama,” he told ZAGSBLOG ahead of his public announcement. “What made me pick them is just an overall fit for me. Play style, close enough to home, coach [Nate] Oats, and available minutes.”
Ranked the No. 20 small forward in the Class of 2021 by 247Sports.com Holt also considered Xavier, Wake Forest, Miami, Georgia and Washington. He is Alabama’s first commit in 2021.
“His level of confidence and tenacity all summer with Team Dickerson was through the roof and he went at and didn’t back down from anyone put in front of him,” wrote Shun Williams of On the Radar Hoops. “He has shot the deep ball at an elite level all summer both off the catch and shoot and off the dribble added with his ability to put the ball on the floor and get into the paint and you combine this with his overall defensive versatility being able to guard almost every position on the floor is why I am so high on him for the collegiate level.”
