Carter Whitt commits to Wake Forest

By JACOB POLACHECK

Class of 2021 point guard Carter Whitt has committed to Wake Forest.

“I just really clicked with Coach [Steve] Forbes and trust him,” Whitt said, adding that his father attended Wake Forest. “Coach Forbes’ offense is fast-paced and guard-driven so it’s a great fit.”

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound point guard is expected to graduate from Brewster Academy (NH) after the fall semester and enroll in college in the spring.

“I’ll go sometime in December,” he said.

Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 10 point guard in the Class of 2021, Whitt chose Wake Forest over offers from Nebraska, Boston College, Alabama and Virginia Tech, among others.

He joins combo guard Robert McCray as the second commit in Demon Deacons’ 2021 class.
