Mississippi State lands Class of 2021 forward KeShawn Murphy

By JACOB POLACHECK

Class of 2021 power forward KeShawn Murphy has committed to Mississippi State, per his Twitter.

Murphy, the 6-foot-10, 222-pound power forward from Ramsay (A.L.) High School, was originally committed to Western Kentucky, but de-committed from the Hilltoppers in July.

He chose Mississippi State over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Western Kentucky and UAB.

He is the first commit in Mississippi State’s 2021 class.

As a junior at Ramsay High School, Murphy averaged 21 points and 12.5 rebounds per game, leading Ramsay to a 25-9 record and a Final Four appearance in Class 5A.

According to 247Sports.com, Murphy is ranked as the No. 46 power forward in the Class of 2021.
