Brandon Murray, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard from IMG Academy (FL), committed to LSU on Friday.
He also had offers from Ole Miss, Wichita State, Virginia Tech and Georgetown, among others.
“Honestly, it just felt like the right fit,” Murray told Rivals.com. “The coaching staff was persistent on getting me there and I wanted to be there. I had a gut feeling and they made me feel real comfortable committing there.”
He joins bigs Bradley Ezewiro and Jerrell Colbert in LSU’s 2021 class.
“Brandon is an explosive strong guard that can score at all three levels,” said IMG postgrad coach Chad Myers. “He is capable of getting to the rim and finishing over defenders. He can shoot the 3 and has a good middle game. He has really changed his body over the last year and his work ethic and competitive nature is unmatched. He will be college-ready from day one when he gets to campus in May for summer school.”
