By ADAM ZAGORIA

The Michael Beasley experiment with the Nets didn’t last long.

After Beasley signed last week with the Brooklyn Nets, news. broke Tuesday that the former No. 2 overall NBA Draft pick had tested positive for coronavirus, according to The Athletic.

Beasley had been training in Miami with a group of young stars, including Jonathan Kuminga, Isaiah Todd and Desmond Bane. The 6-foot-8 Kuminga, a native of the Republic of Congo who played last year at The Patrick School (N.J.), is due to announce his future plans on Thursday, with sources saying he will turn pro instead of going to college.

Todd committed to Michigan before signing with the NBA G League, and Bane is a former TCU guard who has entered the NBA Draft.
