Boston College lands Southern Utah grad transfer Andre Adams

By JACOB POLACHECK

Southern Utah graduate transfer Andre Adams has committed to Boston College. He will be immediately eligible for the 2020-21 season.

Adams, the 6-foot-9, 230-pound forward, chose Boston College over Virginia Tech, DePaul, Georgetown and Wake Forest.

During the 2019-20 season, Adams averaged 9.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.2 blocks per game, shooting 63.7 percent from the field in 23 games played.

He is expected to fill a big void in the middle as an older, experienced center.

Adams began his college career with Arizona State during the 2016-17 season, before transferring to Southern Utah.

After sitting out the 2017-18 season, Adams has spent the last two seasons with the Thunderbirds.

Boston College will bring in four graduate transfers for the 2020-21 season. They also have commitments from four-star shooting guard Demarr Langford and three-star center Justin Vander Baan.
