Nike cancels Peach Jam, EYBL circuit for remainder of 2020

By JACOB POLACHECK

Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League announced Saturday night that its 2020 season has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Peach Jam, the finals of the Nike EYBL circuit, was previously scheduled for July 8-12 in North Augusta, S.C.

Nike’s decision comes just three days after the NCAA extended the recruiting dead period through July 31.

Even if an adjustment can be made for allowable in-person recruiting events later in the year, Nike won’t be hosting any youth basketball gatherings, they announced.

The NABC and NCAA are eyeing additional recruiting windows beginning in August.
