J.T. Thor, the 6-foot-8 power forward from Norcross (GA), has committed to Auburn, per his Twitter.
Thor chose Auburn over Oklahoma State. He previously cut UCLA from his list. Auburn assistant Ira Bowman got the assist on Thor.
“This fall I’ll be taking my talents to Auburn University,” Thor told 247Sports.com in the video below.
According to 247Sports, Thor is ranked as the No. 51 overall player in the 2020 class and the No. 8 power forward.

Thor’s brother, Jal, broke down his thoughts on Auburn for ZAGSBLOG last month.
“They have been recruiting him hard the last month or two,” he said. “We went to the Texas A&M game [March 4] and LSU game [Feb. 8]. He loves the atmosphere there. They love their hoops and it’s like a big family vibe. [Bruce] Pearl [has been] telling JT he can come in right away and help. They have nobody on their roster like him, a 6-foot-10 hybrid that can do it all.”

He joins Sharife Cooper, Chris Moore and Justin Powell as the fourth commit in the Tigers’ 2020 class.
Meantime, Auburn still remains heavily in the mix for five-star prospects Jalen Green, who will announce Friday, and Greg Brown, who announces April 24. For more on the remaining uncommitted players, click here.
