Ohio State adds Bucknell transfer Jimmy Sotos

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Ohio State on Monday picked up a pledge from Bucknell transfer Jimmy Sotos.

The 6-foot-3 native of Illinois averaged 11.5 points, 3.9 assists and 3.5 rebounds last season at Bucknell. He will sit the 2020-21 season and then have one year of eligibility with the Buckeyes.

Butler, Gonzaga, Minnesota, Missouri, Vanderbilt and Xavier were also involved, per 247Sports.

“It was an obvious fit for me,” Sotos told 247Sports.com. “I hit it off with coach [Chris] Holtmann and [Ryan] Pedon immediately, and it was clear that this would be a mutually beneficial situation for everyone involved. I’m excited to get to Columbus and get to work with my teammates.”

Ohio State this offseason has also added Harvard grad transfer Seth Towns, while sophomore guard Luther Muhammad announced his plans to transfer.
