Creighton’s Marcus Zegarowski has meniscus injury and is doubtful for the Big East Tournament

By RYAN McMULLEN

Creighton sophomore guard Marcus Zegarowski is doubtful for the Big East Tournament with a meniscus injury, the school announced.

A source said Zegarowski suffered a meniscus tear.

Zegarowski injured his right knee in Sunday’s 77-60 win over Seton Hall that clinched the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. Zegarowski went for 23 points with five 3-pointers in the game.

The Blue Jays are set to play the winner of No. 8 Georgetown and No. 9 St. John’s on Thursday at 12 PM EST.

The 6-foot-2 guard is averaging 16.2 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.8 rebounds.
