Bracketology: Louisville now a projected 2 seed, Kentucky and Duke are 3 seeds

By ADAM ZAGORIA

In the latest edition of Bracketology according to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, Louisville is now a No. 2 seed, while Kentucky and Duke slot in as 3 seeds.

Lunardi still has Kansas, Baylor, Gonzaga and San Diego State on the 1 lines, with Dayton, Seton Hall, Florida State and Louisville as the 2s.

After a brief stay on the 2 line, Kentucky dropped to a 3 following an 81-73 home loss to Tennessee. The Wildcats are followed on the 3 line by Duke, Michigan State and Maryland. Michigan State came from 19 down in the first half Tuesday to win at Penn State, while Maryland was handled by Rutgers at the RAC.

Two Big East teams fill out the 4 lines — Creighton and Villanova — along with Oregon and Wisconsin.

With its big win at the RAC, Rutgers improved to last four byes from last four in. The Scarlet Knights haven’t been to the NCAA Tournament since 1991, when George H.W. Bush was in the White House and I was in my fifth year of college.
