Reece Brown to UNLV

By JACOB POLACHECK

Reece Brown, the 6-foot-9, 190-pound wing from Loomis Chaffee (CT), committed to UNLV on Friday, via Twitter.

Brown chose UNLV over Elon and Rice. He joins Nick Blake, Jhaylon Martinez, Isaac Lindsey and Donavan Yap as the fifth commit in the Runnin’ Rebels’ 2020 class.

“It just felt like the best opportunity for me to get better as a basketball player and a person,” he said. “I can see myself making great connections there and it’s a family environment. I know about their history and the coaching staff wants to bring back that culture so I wanted to be a part of it.”

“I’m well known for my athleticism and the way I jump but I think my jumper and handle are continuing to get better,” he added. “I play above the room and love to shoot pull-ups. I think I’m real versatile on defense and and guard 1-4.”
