Kansas, Texas are the latest to offer 2020 point guard R.J. Davis (UPDATED)

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Big 12 powers Kansas and Texas are the latest school to offer Class of 2020 Archbishop Stepinac point guard R.J. Davis.

Kansas assistant coach Norm Roberts watched him Sunday at the New York Catholic League event at Archbishop Molloy. Texas wasn’t at the event.

North Carolina assistant Hubert Davis also saw Davis on Saturday, but the Tar Heels have yet to offer.

Davis told me on Friday he would feel “fortunate” if he picked up offers from either North Carolina or Kansas.

“It would be a good opportunity,” he said. “I’m still reviewing my options as far as recruiting.”

The 6-foot Davis took an official visit to Georgetown this past week, and assistant Akbar Waheed watched him at Molloy.

Marquette, Indiana, UCLA and Pittsburgh are also in hot pursuit, while schools like Villanova are monitoring Davis but have yet to offer.
