Tre White, the 6-foot-5 small forward from Little Elm (TX), announced his commitment to Kansas on Sunday, as first reported by 247Sports.
“They were just on me early and it was just the best fit for me,” White told 247Sports. “They were on me early. I’m from Tulsa and it’s close to home and it was the best fit.”
White chose Kansas over schools such as LSU, Texas Tech, TCU, Auburn, Baylor, Houston and Illinois, among others.
“They were the first school to contact me and offer me,” he added. “I really just want to get my recruitment out of the way and build my game for the next couple of years.”
White is the first commit in the Jayhawks’ 2022 class. He did not visit campus before committing.
