Jalen Green working to plan three visits

By JACOB POLACHECK

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. — Jalen Green, the 6-foot-5 combo guard from Prolific (CA) Prep, told ZAGSBLOG Monday at the Team USA U-19 Training Camp that he is planning visits to Arizona, Oregon and Kentucky. He broke down his thoughts on each school:

Arizona: “I don’t really talk to them very much, but I’m excited to visit. Nico [Mannion] and Josh [Green] are out there, so I’m excited.

Oregon: “Oregon is a good school with a good campus. Lou King is out there. Bol Bol went there. So I’m interested in them.”

Kentucky: “It’s Kentucky. Tyrese Maxey is there. They have coach Cal.”

Green does not have a timetable for his commitment, but did talk about the deciding factors in choosing a school:

“I want a coach that is going to keep it real with me,” he said. “I might want to go back and finish school. I want to be able to handle the ball and take a leader role.”

Green has already taken official visits to Memphis (Sept. 13) and Florida State (Nov. 16).

According to 247Sports, Green is ranked as the No. 2 overall player in the Class of 2020.

On Tuesday, Green was named among the 18 finalists that remain for the USA U-19 Team.
