Jeremy Roach, the 6-foot-2 point guard from Paul VI Catholic (VA), announced his commitment to Duke on Wednesday night.
Roach picked the Blue Devils over Kentucky, North Carolina, and Villanova.
“I just felt like it was the right fit for me and I had a gut a feeling that it was too,” he said. “I’m going to bring toughness, defense, leadership, scoring, everything.”
Mike Krzyzewski and his staff are receiving a physically gifted guard who is a gritty scorer and does a great job of leading his team.
“Jeremy is a pure point and leader,” Paul VI coach Glenn Farello said. “His explosiveness and competitiveness combined with his high basketball IQ makes him a complete guard.”
