Cole Anthony, Cassius Stanley, Precious Achiuwa, Jaden McDaniels, Kahlil Whitney highlight Allen Iverson Classic

By ADAM ZAGORIA

After they announce their college decisions early this week, Cassius Stanley and Cole Anthony will play their first games as committed players in the 2019 Allen Iverson Roundball Classic.

The game will take place on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Souderton (PA) High School.

The 6-foot-5 Stanley will announce his college choice on Monday afternoon via a video release and is expected to pick Duke over Kansas, Oregon and UCLA.

The 6-3 Anthony will make his announcement Tuesday morning on ESPN and is expected to select North Carolina over Georgetown, Notre Dame and Oregon.

Stanley and Anthony will then team up on Team Loyalty on Friday in the Iverson Classic. They will be joined by two of the last three remaining uncommitted five-star players in the Class of 2019 in Precious Achiuwa and Jaden McDaniels. Neither player has set an announcement date. (Trendon Watford remains uncommitted but is not playing in the game.)

Coached by former NBA player Stephen Jackson, Team Loyalty also features USC commits Isaiah Mobley and Onyeka Okongwu, Villanova commit Bryan Antoine, Arizona pledge Nico Mannion and Duke signee Wendell Moore.

They will face off against Team Honor, coached by Baron Davis and led by Kentucky commits Kahlil Whitney and Keion Brooks, Arizona commits Terry Armstrong and Zeke Nnaji, Ohio State commits DJ Carton and EJ Liddell, Georgia pledge Anthony Edwards and Oregon commit C.J. Walker.

“Last year was so incredible and this year is going to be bigger and better in every way” said Iverson in a press release. “It’s an honor for me. As excited as they are to be in this game, I’m more excited to have them.”

Events will tip off on Wednesday, April 24 with the Iverson Games, which includes a Dunk Contest, Three-Point Shootout, 1-on-1 matchups, and more.
