Kentucky guard Jemarl Baker to transfer

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Kentucky guard Jemarl Baker will transfer, his AAU coach, Ryan Silver of West Coast Elite, told ZAGSBLOG.

The 6-foot-4 California native committed to Kentucky in April 2017 but has consistently played behind a number of more higher recruited guards.

The Wildcats next year will add Tyrese Maxey to a backcourt that includes Ashton Hagans and Immanuel Quickley, and will also bring in wings Keion Brooks and Kahlil Whitney.

As a redshirt freshman this past year, Baker averaged 2.3 points in 9.1 minutes off the bench at Kentucky.

Kentucky is losing freshmen Tyler Herro and Keldon Johnson to the NBA Draft, as well as sophomore P.J. Washington.
