Jalen Terry, the 5-foot-11 point guard from Beecher High School (MI) and The Family AAU program, announced his commitment to Michigan State on Tuesday night.
Terry broke down his commitment with ZAGSBLOG.
“There’s nothing like being close to home,” he said. “Tom Izzo is a great coach and he created a brotherhood over there which I love. I believe I will come in with a great team and expect to win a national championship.”
He chose the Spartans over Iowa, Iowa State, Mississippi State, and Missouri.
According to 247Sports, Terry is a four-star prospect, ranked No. 31 nationally, and is the No. 1 player from Michigan.
He is the first commit for Michigan State as they continue to push for five-star Isaiah Jackson along with four-stars Cam’ron Fletcher and Carlos Johnson.
