Lester Quinones raves about Memphis official visit

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Lester Quinones, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound shooting guard from IMG Academy, took an official visit to Memphis this weekend — and loved it.

“I just got back from the game,” he said after Memphis lost to Houston, 61-58, in the AAC Tournament at Fed Ex Forum. “The atmosphere was insane. Love it.”

He added: “They need a shooter badly. They love my game of the pick-and-roll and they see me and James [Wiseman] in the pick-and-roll dominating in the conference.”

The 7-foot Wiseman is one of three finalists for the Gatorade National Player of the Year.

Quinones now lists Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, LSU, Georgia, Memphis and Ohio State. He will take other visits but has none currently planned.
