Bracketology: Virginia, Gonzaga, Kentucky, UNC are projected 1 seeds

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Virginia, Gonzaga, Kentucky and North Carolina are the current projected No. 1 seeds, per ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and CBSSports’ Jerry Palm.

Per Palm, Virginia and Tennessee are the 1-2 in the East, Kentucky and Duke are the 1-2 in the South, UNC and LSU are the 1-2 in the Midwest and Gonzaga and Michigan State are the 1-2 in the West.

In the Big East, Marquette is a 5 seed, Villanova a 6 and Seton Hall is a 10 after beating Marquette and Villanova last week. St. John’s, loser of 4-of-5, is now an 11 seed, per Palm, while Creighton is a 12 and among the “Last 4 In.”

N.C. State, Ohio State, TCU and Clemson are the “Last 4 In,” per Lunardi

The super-weak bubble includes three Big East teams in Xavier, Creighton and Georgetown, along with Indiana, per Lunardi.
